CC Cycle Club Meeting for February – Kit Orders and more!

The CC Cycle Club is pleased to announce another meeting for Monday, February 13th, 2012. Our meeting will be held at 7:00 PM at Kikos Mexican Food Restaurant located at 5514 Everhart Road Corpus Christi, TX 78411.

This meeting is open to all members, non-members and cycling enthusiasts in the Corpus Christi area. We have a number of topics to discuss which will include CC Cycle Club Kit orders.

Our present topics include:

1. FM 43 project presentation by TxDot prepresentatives Tom Tagliabue,Jason Lambert and Kristie Brink.
2. Kit orders and kit fittings.
3. 2012 Easter Hill Country Tour planning.

Remember, kit fittings are presently located at Platypus Gym. On February 13th, the kits will be transported to the monday night meeting and will be back at Platypus by the 14th. Also, there will only be some chips served at Kiko’s. Dinner will not be served and is available on order. If you are planning dinner, you may want to come early or plan a reservation.

We would like to get our kit orders in place so we can have our club kits in place for our planned Easter Weekend trip to the Hill Country. Our club is planning a Club Ride at the 2012 Easter Hill Country Tour. The Fort Worth Bicycle Association is hosting three days of fully-supported riding over the 2012 Easter weekend, April 6,7 and 8 in the gorgeous Texas Hill Country for only $45. The Bluebonnets and the vistas are unrivaled anywhere in Texas. Club members and all CC area riding friends can join us for this event.

All rides will start and finish in Kerrville, Texas with each day offering multiple options at distances ranging from about 20 to 100 miles. All rides are fully-supported with rest stops at strategic intervals along the routes supplemented by roving SAG vehicles. This should be great fun for area riders and club members to participate in this beautiful riding venue in the Texas hill country!  To learn more and register for this event early, please see the 2012 Easter Hill Country Tour.

At our February meeting we will discuss the logistics of this tour and what to expect, where to meet and much more. At this meeting, we would like to place all kit orders for members and non-members.  Please join us for a wonderful time at Kikos on February 13th!

We are still accepting sponsorship spots for the jersey and bibs. We only have a couple of spots left at $500 and at $1000. If you know anyone that would like a spot…..let us know soon, we don’t think they will last long. The kit also highlights a starred D and K for the late Donny Kloster. We will also announce a fitting for Jerseys and Bibs before the meeting. The jerseys and kits come in a variety of materials. The kits are designed and manufactured by Jakroo custom apparel. Our meeting will also highlight other projects including our involvement this year in Conquer the Coast. The CC Cycle Club is working closely with the Chamber of Commerce to make this ride an exemplary event for the state of Texas. Our board has a number of ideas that we are presenting to the Chamber and our members involvement and in-put to this event will only make it better. We want this event to exemplify the best of cycling in Texas. Our club member involvement and your input throughout the year should help us reach this goal.
