I spoke to Art Norman who is heading a project to include hike and bike trails near Oso Creek Park, Section 2. Art, who was a member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee, is heading this city park through the “adopt a park program” which is presently sponsored by Hightouch, Inc. The program will cover the next few months, including the use of motorized vehicles to clear overbrush and other debris.
Art is looking for volunteers who may wish to see this project come to fruition. Please come and visit this park and be a part of the future of Corpus Christi’s southside moutain and BMX as well as hiking trails.
Volunteer Work Days: Third Saturday of each Month Jan-March 2012 (1/21, 2/18 and 3/17) from 9am to 12 noon.
